Flask Section 106 UT Tailgaters

We have had so much fun this year tailgating with the UT Tailgaters. We have met some amazing people that hopefully will remain lifelong friends.

Littlefield Fountain

Dallas, Kaitlyn & I decided to go walk around last weekend downtown. We walked by Littlefield Fountain and Kaitlyn just had to get in and get her feet wet.

Here is the history behind the fountain:

Littlefield Fountain is a monument by Italian-born sculptor Pompeo Coppini, located on the main campus of The University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas.
The fountain was built with money from a $250,000 trust established by Major George W. Littlefield as a memorial for University of Texas students and alumni who died in The Great War, now commonly known as World War I.[1] It was unveiled in 1933, at a time when the Old Main Building was still in use.
The memorial fountain is enscribed in Latin with BREVIS A NATURA NOBIS VITA DATA EST AT MEMORIA BENE REDDITAE VITAE SEMPITERA. Translation - A short life hath been given by Nature unto man; but the remembrance of a life laid down in a good cause endureth forever. Beneath this enscription is a memorial bronze plaque that lists all UT students and alumni killed in The Great War.

One great memory.......the best pictures of course are the ones inside my mind of us dancing and singing to every song she sang....I wish I could have captured that on film. :)

Well, pregnancy this time around sure has slowed me down. I've been extremely abscent in so many regards....and blogging is one of them. I have so many pictures to post and stories to tell but I will start with baby steps. :)

These pictures were taken this summer when Nana came to visit.

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn Paige!
You are the most incredible little person I have ever met in my life! I am so thankful that I get to spend every day watching you imagine, create, learn, and grow. You simply amaze me!
I'm so glad you enjoyed your candy party.

UT Baseball 1/29/11

This is how we sled in Texas!!!!

And climbing back up the hill is just as exhilarating as going down.

WEEEEEE! She had so much fun at the baseball game sledding on the torn boxes we forgot there was even a game being played. Typical girls!

Kaitlyn was very prepared for the day; cool shirt: check, awesome rhinestone jeans: check, cool shades: check. Although daddy didn't think she was UT prepared enough, so first stop......

1/9/10
Kaitlyn's first adventure with roller skates

Kaitlyn & I had the best day ever! We decided that we wanted to start a new activity together and we both decided that roller skating would be our "special time".

WHATEVER...........talk about a work out! Not only am I working my legs to the bone, I am holding a 6 year old up as well. My body is in complete shock tonight.

Although it seemed to be a complete struggle in the begining, it was completely worth it! I was not able to get many pictures due to the lack of hands, but I was able to capture a few.

Anyone want to join us next week?
