Girls Night Out

Samantha and I went out to Trudy's this evening and had a blast...talking, laughing......about the same ol' stuff...husband's, friendships, and kids.....Thank you Sam for a great night out....This is what I got to come home to and it was very pleasant.

Strawberry Shortcake---The common bond

Mommy's original Strawberry Shortcakes---Kaitlyn loves them.

So, I decided to let Kaitlyn pull out Mommy's Strawberry Shortcakes that still had their smell to them in the origninal strawberry case. My dad was totally against this one but.....as all moms do I caved. Kaitlyn thinks she has the coolest strawberry shortcake dolls ever. As I smile watching her play with them I just remember when I got them as a child (even though I did not play with dolls) I knew they would be loved one day.....thank you mom and dad!

Me, Madison & Adam

Trent, Samantha, Madison & Adam came over Saturday afternoon and the kiddo's had so much fun....like always. Kaitlyn and Madison were sitting at their table with no one else around just giggling & giggling and then when we went to capture the moment...of course they stopped. It was so cute!

Kaitlyn and Madison were eating shrimp---I had to tell Kaitlyn it was chicken---but she ate it. Madison was a true champ she ate her's with coctail sauce.

My First Manicure and Pedicure with Mommy

Kaitlyn and I had so much fun last Saturday. Kaitlyn went with mommy and had her very own manicure and pedicure for the very first time. It was really great and I now know that this is something we can do together ---even at 3 years old.

Corn on the Cob

What a great memory for me as a child---eating corn at my grandparents in the summer. I remember going to stay with my PaPaw and Memaw and all the cousins would come over and we would help shuck the corn and then we could eat it that night for dinner.

I thought Kaitlyn and I would do just that....and yummie was it good.

And then, Sadie got the left overs.
